Your website is AMAZING. I would love to know who built this for you. It’s so inventive.
I found you by looking for somewhere or someone who might make for me a canvas tarp or cover for my vintage 1968 Shasta trailer. I love it, I’ve re-done it and I need to store it. But I want it to be well protected.
Any ideas??
Thanks so much.
Warmest regards,

Hi Gabrielle.
The website is a work in progress, thank you for the compliments.
Currently I think your best resource for your needs is to join the Yahoo Group and post your question on the forum there.

The people who are involved seem to be really helpful!!
Please come back to the gyspy von shasta website with tales of your adventures with your 1968 trailer!! (That’s the same year as mine!)
Love,
Gypsy
I just purchased a 1965 12′ shasta and need layout for back upholstery area. Can you suggest a website?
Hmm. I don’t know of a site specific to upholstery. I still say that Yahoo groups is where its at when it comes to getting helpful advice. They have a whole community of Camper Trailer enthusiasts partcipating in their forum. Find the link above!!
Hi all,
Got someone to custom design the cover for my “Fluffy” (1968 Shasta). And he’s reasonable. I THINK I got him from your site. Rettro Tony’s email is ynotcamp@gmail.com. Happy trails to y’all !

Gypsy, can you give me a full review of the work YNOT did for you? Im looking to have a camper restored there, and would like some feedback. Also do you mind sharing cost?
Hi there Ryan.
Unfortunately I can’t answer those questions. This restoration wasn’t completed for me. I stumbled upon the images on there website and wanted to share the project here.
I wish I could help you out.
My Dad and I have been restoring my 68 Shasta 1500 ourselves. The project is currently on hold. We are saving significantly in dong it this way - however, the final product is going to be much more DIY - and not necessarily true to its origins. (This is okay with me cause I’m a gypsy.)
Best of luck to you as you price out your project, and if you want to share it online - I’d be more than happy to work with you to publish images and your story!!!
Thanks Ryan,
GVS
Thanks, guess I should’ve read a little clearer. :\ Im really wanted to do this myself, but those are usually famous “last” words. I really envy those who can devote the time, because it’s got to be an incredibly rewarding experience. I’d love to tell people I did it myself and not some one else! I will gladly send you some pics if I go through with it. Thanks again!
We were greatly admiring your restoration project. We recently purchased a early 60’s model shasta and are working to restore it. We had a few questions if you don’t mind sharing some tips with us. How and or what paint did you use on you oven and exterior? Also how much fabric did you use to cover all of your windows?
Thanks!
Hey, this is my camper you have featured. Ynot did an excellent job on my camper and I love it. I was able to pick out all the colors, material for curtains, and flooring. I did some research on 50s and 60s fabric and found a website that replicated patterns of that era. I was going for a soda shop/atomic look and was very happy with how it turned out. We always get tons of looks when we take it camping.
